Questions people ask me about AI employees
What is an AI employee, and how is it different from using ChatGPT or Claude?
When you type into a chatbot, you're using a tool. It waits for you. An AI employee has a job, written instructions in your voice and house rules, and it runs on its own schedule. It shows up before you do. Mine read my email and calendar, research leads and draft content, then put everything that needs me in one place.
Do I need to know how to code to build AI agents?
No. You need English. Building an agent is writing a job description: what the job is, when it runs and what needs your approval. I'm not a tech person, and I run 22 of them.
Which AI should I use for AI agents, ChatGPT or Claude?
I build my team on Claude because it can connect to Gmail, Google Calendar and Drive and run scheduled tasks on its own. I still use ChatGPT for images. You'll need a paid Claude plan, starting at $20 a month, because the free plan won't run scheduled jobs.
What's the first AI agent I should build?
Start with a Chief of Staff that sends you a morning brief: what's on your calendar, which emails need you and what's slipping. It takes about 30 minutes to set up with the free handout, and once it's running it helps you design every agent after it.
How do I stop AI from sounding like AI or sending something embarrassing?
Two things. Write your agents' instructions with real examples of how you talk, and give them house rules. My first rule is that agents draft and I approve. Nothing goes out in my name without my yes.
Can network marketers and direct sellers use AI agents?
Yes, and it's one of my favorite uses. In the replay I show Teddy, the agent that reads my back office, analyzes my team and customers and tells me who to call. Agents can also handle follow-up drafts, social posts and lead research.
Is my data safe?
Everything runs on your own Claude account and your own logins. When we build together, I'm on a shared screen with you. I never hold your accounts.
